Corn Stocks Around Our Light Pole
Every Fall when my busy Dad was harvesting he would take time and make a Corn Stock Shock around our light pole on our farm.. Then later we would ate pumpkins. It was always a great place for the kittens to hide. Here is a picture of myself on the big trike and my sister Lois in front of the Stocks... My guess is that this picture is around 1965.
I'm a Christian mother of 4 who married my best friend 25 years ago. We live in rural Iowa near Iowa City in a turn of the century Victorian home with a beautiful wrap around porch and a high point view of Johnson county. In 1993 we turned a grain shed into our first little "Rug Cottage" where I sold area rugs and gifts. Since then the little cottage has grown as well as our family. We now have Barntiques Antique Mall in our historic barn.
