My Favorite Building at the Iowa State Fair

I've been going to the Iowa State Fair for as long as I can remember. The first stop on the visit is always the building that houses the famous "Butter Cow" and all the flowers and produce. It's what the heart of the Iowa State Fair is all about. I understand the building is over 100 years old, but it's just a classic. I hope it never changes.

  1. Nancy, I found your blog by doing a Google blog search for Iowa farm girl. I grew up on three farms in Washington County. For whatever reason, we only went to the state fair once, when I was ten and my sisters were four, six and eight. I remember the cow made from butter. You are doing a good job with your blogs. I will be back to read more. I hope to add photos to mine, Mid-Prairie High School and Park College 1960-1965, which I started in January of this year.
